COVID19 Information for Parents

Changes to measure and guidance for managing Covid-19 in schools from 1st April 2022

With the ending of universal testing the updated guidance is:

  • Children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people.  They can go back to school, when they no longer have a high temperature.
  • Children and young people under the age of 18 with a positive Covid-19 test should stay at home for a full 3 days after the test, students over 18 will need to stay at home for a full 5 days after the test.  So long as they no longer have a temperature, they can return to school on day 4 and day 6 respectively, irrelevant of whether they are still testing positive.
